  3. Continue your review with the client’s answers

You have received the client’s Acomba data, but a few questions still prevent you from finishing the file. Meo lets you bring those specific requests together: the document to find, the information to provide and a view of what is still missing. The client knows what to answer, and your team keeps the replies in one place.

Acomba X already lets users send a backup to their accountant by email or save it to a computer. Meo comes after that handoff here, to collect the details needed for your review.

A specific request you can adapt

In this fictional example, two items are missing before the review can continue. Here is a request you can adapt.

Hello, we need the following two items to continue reviewing your file.
Document to upload: the purchase invoice for the computer bought on September 14.
Information to provide: who received the $2,000 transfer on September 20, and what was it for?
You can attach the invoice and answer directly in the request.

In Meo, the invoice becomes a document to collect and the transfer question becomes an information field. Each item has its own place, instead of asking the client to answer several questions in one email thread.

Partial replies remain easy to follow

The client opens their personal link and enters a code without creating an account. They can attach the invoice, then return to explain the transfer. Your team sees the received document and the answer still outstanding.

For this request, choose reminders until all required items are completed. Set their frequency and maximum count. Uploading the invoice will not end follow-up while the transfer explanation is still missing.

If these requests recur, save a structure as a template. For each file, replace the dates, amounts and requested documents. The client receives the questions relevant to them without a long generic list.

Continue your review with the client’s answers

When the answer arrives, the accountant reads it in the request, reviews the invoice and downloads the document for the working file. They then continue their checks and entries in Acomba.
