This privacy policy describes the personal information we collect through technological means, as well as your rights regarding that personal information. Personal information remains at all times the property of our clients.

For the purposes of this policy, personal information is any information that makes it possible to identify a person, directly or indirectly. This policy applies to the personal information we collect through our website as well as through our Meo software (collectively, the “Services”).

When you use our website and our software, you authorize us to collect personal information. Please note that you always have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. We collect this personal information in the following ways:

3. What personal information do we collect in our Services, and for what purposes?

We collect this personal information directly from you. We may also gather non-personal information.

4. How do we use cookies?

Our website uses cookies (called “témoins” in French) that allow the website to operate, support good communication and simplify navigation on the site.

A cookie is a file placed on your hard drive when you visit our website. This file stores information for a future connection and represents you by means of a unique, anonymous identifier.

Cookies are used on our website in order to gather information. You can configure your browser so that it refuses all cookies. If you decline cookies, you may not have access to all the features of the website, or your experience may be limited.

5. With whom do we share your personal information?

The administrator of the Meo software may have access to your personal information. It discloses your personal information to the provider that makes the website and the Services available. That service provider is subject to contractual agreements that limit its right to use your personal information for purposes other than providing the agreed services.

Your documents and account data are stored exclusively in Quebec, in the Montreal region, on certified servers.

To send communications (emails, SMS), we use specialized service providers that are bound by contractual confidentiality agreements.

We may also disclose your personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Authorities: We may disclose your personal information where the law requires it. These circumstances include situations where it is necessary to respond to subpoenas, warrants or court orders, or to comply with the laws in force.
  • Business transactions: If another company acquires or plans to acquire our company, our business or our assets, or if we undergo a reorganization or a financing of certain parts of our business (including insolvency or bankruptcy), we may share information with other parties.

6. How do we protect your personal information?

We have physical, technical and administrative measures to protect your personal information against destruction, loss, unauthorized modification, disclosure, access, misuse and any other processing contrary to our practices.

When we disclose your personal information to our service provider, we require the same level of security from that entity before transferring your personal information.

7. Retention of your personal information

We retain your personal information for the period necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy, or for a longer period if an applicable law requires or permits it.

8. Where do we process your personal information?

Data storage

Your documents and account data are stored exclusively in Quebec, in the Montreal region, on AWS infrastructure (ca-central-1 region).

Security and protection

To keep our services secure and protect you against cyberattacks (DDoS, malicious bots), web requests pass through Cloudflare, a content delivery network recognized worldwide for its protection. Cloudflare may process requests at points of presence in North America before routing them to our Quebec servers.

This technical choice reflects industry best practices in security. All data remains encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3).

9. What are your rights regarding your personal information?

In Quebec, you have a number of rights over your personal information:

Right to de-indexation You have the right to request that any hyperlink attached to your name and giving access to your information be deactivated, or that the link be de-indexed.
Right to file a complaint If you believe we have processed your personal information in violation of applicable law, you have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca or by telephone at 1-888-528-7741.

We undertake to respond to any request to exercise your rights within 30 days of receiving your request.

10. Update to this policy

We may change this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect new laws or changes in the way we handle personal information.

We will do our best to inform you, but it is always worth checking the date of the last update of this policy from time to time and reviewing its content. Any change made to the privacy policy takes effect on the date of the update.
